Company executives may attend dinner during Trump-Xi meeting — CNBC
Chinese President Xi Jinping is expected to make a state visit to the United States from Wednesday through Friday. On Thursday, a dinner is set to take place in Washington as part of his meeting with U.S. President Donald Trump, which U.S. company executives may attend, CNBC reports.

According to a CNBC source familiar with the plans, Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella is expected to attend the dinner. Microsoft and the White House did not respond to the outlet's requests for comment on the matter.
U.S. officials also named other business leaders expected to join the event: Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang, OpenAI head Sam Altman, Google CEO Sundar Pichai, Elon Musk of Tesla and SpaceX, Citigroup CEO Jane Fraser, Jeff Bezos of Amazon, Apple CEO Tim Cook, and Michael Dell of Dell.

China's Ministry of Foreign Affairs confirmed Xi Jinping's trip to the United States but did not disclose the names of Chinese business leaders who may accompany the president. Reuters previously reported that business representatives considered for participation included representatives of BYD, Xiaomi, battery manufacturers CATL and Gotion, Hisense, Wanxiang, the state-owned Bank of China, and agribusiness group COFCO.
BYD did not comment on the information, while the other Chinese companies mentioned did not respond to CNBC's requests. The outlet notes that amid growing tensions between the United States and China, both governments have placed companies from the other country on blacklists restricting business activity.
