Israeli police chiefs take part in memorial run for Druze — Jerusalem Post

Israel Police Commissioner Daniel Levy and Northern District Commander Meir Eliyahu took part in the annual "Path for the Sons" run in Lavi Forest in Israel. The event was dedicated to the memory of fallen members of the Druze community who gave their lives while serving the state and its citizens.

Five-kilometer run

Levy and Eliyahu started the five-kilometer race together with representatives of security forces and public organizations. Hundreds of Israel Police officers, representatives of the Druze community, and other participants joined the run.

After the start, Daniel Levy ran alongside police officers. As The Jerusalem Post reports, this was a gesture of respect and gratitude toward fallen members of the Druze community.

Honoring the memory

The run in Lavi Forest is held annually to honor fallen members of the Druze community and recognize their contribution to Israel's security. The publication notes that police participation in the event reflects the connection and partnership between the Israel Police and the Druze community, as well as respect for the fallen and their families.
