Houthis claim attack on Saudi Aramco in Riyadh — Anadolu Agency
Yemen’s Houthi movement said it struck facilities of Saudi oil company Saudi Aramco in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, with ballistic missiles and drones. According to the group, the attack was a response to strikes on Yemen’s capital, Sanaa.
Houthi statement
Houthi military spokesperson Yahya Saree said in a televised statement that the operation had achieved its objective and caused fires at the facilities that were targeted.
As Anadolu Agency reports, Saree also said that 60 airstrikes had been carried out on Sanaa and other Yemeni provinces over the previous 24 hours. He put the total number of strikes at 1,420 and held Saudi Arabia responsible for them.

Saudi Arabia’s reaction
As of 20:00 GMT, Saudi Arabia had not commented on the Houthis’ claim of a strike on Saudi Aramco. Saree said the Houthis would respond to blockade with blockade and escalation with escalation.
On July 20, the Houthis announced a maritime blockade of Saudi Arabia, calling it a response to the maritime and air siege of territories under their control in Yemen. Since March 2015, Saudi Arabia has led a military coalition supporting Yemen’s internationally recognized government in its confrontation with the Houthis, who have controlled Sanaa and several other provinces since September 2014.
