Houthis claim missile and drone strikes on Riyadh and Yanbu — Jerusalem Post

Yemen’s Houthis said they launched missiles and drones in Saudi Arabia at a facility they described as sensitive in the country’s capital, Riyadh, as well as at Saudi Aramco facilities in Yanbu on the Red Sea coast.

Houthi statement

As reported by The Jerusalem Post, the Iran-linked Houthi movement announced missile and drone attacks on Thursday. The group’s statement referred to a target in Riyadh and facilities of Saudi energy company Saudi Aramco in Yanbu.

Saudi Arabia’s statement

Earlier, Saudi Arabia said it had intercepted six ballistic missiles launched by the Houthis toward Taif and the Yanbu area on the Red Sea.

At the same time, the Saudi side did not immediately confirm an attack on Riyadh. There was also no confirmed information about damage or casualties in Taif and Yanbu. Therefore, information about strikes on the capital and Saudi Aramco facilities is currently based on the Houthi statement.
