Cyprus has closed all its visa centers in Russia

The Embassy of Cyprus has announced the closure of its visa centers in Russia. Effective June 15, visa applications can only be submitted directly through the Consular Section in Moscow or the Consulates General in St. Petersburg, Yekaterinburg, and Krasnodar.

The diplomatic mission clarified that as of June 13, the acceptance of applications through BLS International centers has been suspended due to the expiration of the relevant contract. Applicants who submitted their documents by June 11 will be able to receive their passports at the same locations where they filed their applications. At the same time, the embassy expects to sign a new contract with another visa service provider.

Currently, Russian citizens can enter Cyprus with either a national visa or a valid Schengen visa from other countries. However, starting in October 2025, the rules for submitting documents have changed—applicants must appear in person to provide biometric data.

This is reported by Russian propaganda media.
