China has called a war against Iran "illegal" and warned the U.S. against escalation

China has responded to U.S. President Donald Trump’s threats to potentially destroy Iranian power plants, warning of the risk of further escalation. 

This was stated by Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Lin Jian, according to The Guardian.

According to him, the spread of the conflict could lead to an uncontrollable situation in the region.

“The use of force will only lead to a vicious cycle,” the representative of the Chinese Foreign Ministry emphasized.

He also stated that the war, which Beijing believes was initiated by the U.S. and Israel, is illegal and should never have started.

As a reminder, the Iraqi capital was attacked by drones, with hotels and energy facilities hit.

The U.S. also attacked Iran’s underground facilities with the latest bunker-busting bombs.
