Chinese naval group arrives in Bangladesh — ECNS
The 48th escort group of the Chinese People's Liberation Army Navy arrived at the port of Chittagong in Bangladesh on Wednesday to begin a five-day goodwill visit. ECNS reported the arrival on September 18, 2026.
Arrival at the port
The group includes the Chinese Navy ships Tangshan and Daqing. They moored at around 14:00 local time, flying the national flags of China and Bangladesh.

More than 100 people welcomed the flotilla at the pier. They included Bangladesh Navy officers, staff of the Chinese Embassy in Bangladesh, representatives of Chinese enterprises, and members of the overseas Chinese community.
Visit program
During the port call, the sides plan to hold professional exchanges, ship visits, friendly sports competitions, and a deck reception. The Chinese escort group's visit to Bangladesh will last five days.
