A Chinese marketplace is preparing to compete with Wildberries and Ozon in Russia
The Chinese marketplace Poizon is actively expanding into the Russian market and has disclosed the terms of its partnership with sellers for the first time. The commission on the platform ranges from 19% to 29%. For the largest Russian marketplaces, this figure can reach 55%.
According to the Union of Marketplace Sellers, Wildberries’ commission ranges from 40% to 55%, Ozon’s from 35% to 55%, and Yandex Market’s from 30% to 55%.
Poizon offers sellers in Russia payment seven days after a transaction is processed. The platform handles part of the work: it creates product listings, responds to customer inquiries, and manages packaging and marketing. The marketplace also supports cross-border delivery, shipments from overseas warehouses, and product storage in Russia.
