North Korea has tested a missile equipped with a cluster warhead
North Korea conducted tests of ballistic missiles equipped with cluster warheads, raising concerns in South Korea.
This was reported by Yonhap.
According to Seoul, these are likely KN-23 missiles—a domestically developed model considered an analogue of Russia’s Iskander missiles.
The DPRK noted that the tests lasted several days and were aimed at verifying the effectiveness of cluster munitions.
In addition, the tests evaluated short-range air defense systems, components of electromagnetic weapons, and simulated munitions technology.
South Korea speculates that such developments may indicate the use of Russian technology or increased military cooperation between Moscow and Pyongyang.
This comes amid reports of North Korea supplying ammunition to Russia and the possible involvement of its military in the war against Ukraine.
North Korea announced another test of an engine for ballistic missiles allegedly capable of striking the U.S. and its allies.
The aggressor country’s state agency TASS and the Korean Central News Agency (KCNA) signed an agreement on strategic cooperation, which provides for the exchange of information and delegations. The heads of the media organizations announced that the main focus of their work will be countering fake news within the framework of international projects.
