Former French ambassador to China calls for developing cultural exchanges — ECNS
As ECNS reports, in China, former French Ambassador to the PRC Maurice Gourdault-Montagne called for more active contacts between people from France and China. In an interview with China News Network, he described China as an ancient, great and profound country and noted that understanding it takes time.

Gourdault-Montagne previously also served as secretary-general of the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The former diplomat said he was impressed by the Chinese people's skill in studying and developing art.
