Iran Says Its Military Is Stronger Than During 2025 War With Israel
Iran’s army leadership says the country is now more militarily capable than it was during the 12-day war with Israel in 2025.
According to the statement, the conflict provided a unique experience for Iran’s armed forces, as the country engaged on an unprecedented scale with a state backed by advanced Western military technology and support.
The fighting saw heavy Israeli strikes on population centres inside Iran, while Iranian forces launched sustained retaliatory attacks that damaged several sites inside Israeli territory. The United States also carried out strikes on multiple Iranian military facilities during the conflict.
Iranian officials say extensive preparations carried out over the past six months have significantly strengthened the country’s ability to respond to current threats from Israel and the United States.
Meanwhile, Washington says it is considering strong measures against Iran over the authorities’ crackdown on domestic protests.
