LEGO has released a large-scale "Lord of the Rings" building set
LEGO has officially unveiled its new “The Lord of the Rings: Minas Tirith” set, inspired by the “Lord of the Rings” universe. The set recreates the city of Minas Tirith and is the largest Middle-earth-themed set in the company’s history. The set consists of over 8,000 pieces and is timed to coincide with the 25th anniversary of Peter Jackson’s film trilogy
This was reported by Hypebeast.
The set consists of 8,278 pieces. Sales begin on June 4.
The model recreates the city of Minas Tirith and is built using a dual-architecture design. From the front, the set looks like a large-scale micro-model of the White City with a seven-tiered structure, defensive walls, and a citadel.

At the same time, the back of the structure opens up to reveal interiors on a minifigure scale. Inside, you can see the citadel’s throne room with statues of the Númenóreans and a mosaic floor.

“The Lord of the Rings: Minas Tirith” is the largest LEGO set based on “The Lord of the Rings.” It stands 59 centimeters tall and is 62 centimeters wide.
The set includes 10 exclusive minifigures dedicated to the siege of Minas Tirith and the events that followed. Among the characters are Aragorn as King Elessar, Gandalf the White with his horse Tinegon, Arwen, Faramir, Denethor, and Peregrin Took.

The set also includes four Gondor soldiers with unique helmets, shields, and new armor elements.
The article notes that the set is part of LEGO’s new strategy for collectible sets aimed at adult fans of “The Lord of the Rings.” The company has previously released The Shire and Sauron’s Helmet sets.
LEGO believes that Minas Tirith should be the centerpiece of this collection due to its scale, detail, and significance to the franchise.
