Lego has released the largest building set in history: over 12,000 pieces
The Danish company Lego has unveiled a new set in its Architecture series, dedicated to the famous Sagrada Família basilica in Barcelona. The model is the brand’s largest construction set in terms of the number of pieces.
The new set consists of 12,060 pieces and recreates one of the most famous projects by Spanish architect Antoni Gaudí. The set’s release commemorates the 100th anniversary of his death.
The model is over 62 cm tall, 47 cm wide, and 39 cm deep. The set is crafted in light beige tones that mimic the color of the original church’s stone.
A unique feature of the set is the ability to disassemble individual sections for a detailed view of the interior architecture. The designers also recreated the effect of colored stained-glass windows using special elements that mimic the way light passes through the cathedral’s windows.
The assembly process mirrors the actual stages of the Sagrada Família’s construction—from the foundation and crypt to the facades and central towers.
The official launch is scheduled for November 1, 2026. The set will cost €749.99 or $799.99, which is equivalent to approximately 39,000–40,000 hryvnias.
