Leo Express suspends Przemyśl–Prague–Frankfurt services — Interia
Czech private carrier Leo Express is suspending rail services from Poland's Przemyśl to Frankfurt via Prague from Monday until further notice. The company promised passengers who purchased tickets for services after 5 October compensation in accordance with the applicable rules.
Works on German tracks
According to Interia, Leo Express spokesperson Emil Sedlarzyk explained the decision by construction work on German tracks. He stated that constant timetable changes, service interruptions and numerous diversions make it impossible to maintain a stable connection.
According to the company representative, the carrier decided not to continue operating this line this year. Leo Express is negotiating with Deutsche Bahn regarding future timetables. It is currently unknown when, or whether at all, the service will be resumed.

The line operated for more than two months
The route was launched on 31 July and operated for just over two months. It was about 1,300 kilometres long, and the journey took approximately 20 hours.
Leo Express usually used three-car train sets on the route, one of which was a sleeping car. These were used modernised carriages purchased from Deutsche Bahn. Passengers could choose seats in a mixed compartment or a women-only compartment.
When the route was launched, Leo Express CEO Peter Köhler said that the connection between western and eastern Europe was part of the company's strategy to provide a convenient and affordable alternative to travel by car or plane.
