Lithuania will provide an additional €4 million to install solar power plants and energy storage systems at Ukrainian government facilities.
In addition, according to the Lithuanian Ministry of Energy, the European Union will provide another €3 million for such projects.
Lithuanian Energy Minister Žygimantas Vaičiūnas noted that 50 projects are planned for this phase of the program.
“Lithuania’s support contributes not only to immediate recovery efforts but also to building a safer energy future for Ukraine. I am pleased that the project is continuing and that an additional €4 million is being allocated this year from the planned support package. We have also secured additional European funding for this initiative in the amount of €3 million,” said Vaičiūnas.
Last year, during the first phase of the program, Lithuania allocated €5 million to it. It is expected that approximately 80 projects will be implemented across both phases.
Vaiciunas also noted that Lithuania has stepped up its energy assistance to support Ukraine during the difficult winter period of 2025–2026.
More than €6.3 million has already been allocated this year, while over €10 million was allocated throughout all of last year.
