LSM English has published a Latvian news broadcast in plain language
On August 18, the English-language service LSM English released an audio recording of an episode of the program *Ziņas vieglajā valodā*, which translates to “News in Simple Language.” The recording on the article’s page is 4 minutes and 57 seconds long, and the post was published at 9:49 p.m.
Every evening at 9:00 p.m., Latvijas Radio 1 broadcasts an approximately five-minute summary of the day’s news in simplified language. LSM English notes that such broadcasts can help listeners improve their listening comprehension and pronunciation of the Latvian language.
