Madyar said that he would not call Putin himself, but would answer if Putin called him
Péter Magyar, leader of the Hungarian Tisza Party, stated that he does not plan to call Russian dictator Vladimir Putin himself.
At the same time, he noted that he would respond if such a call were to take place.
According to Magyar, if they were to speak, he would urge Putin to end the war against Ukraine.
The politician added that he does not expect the Kremlin to heed his position, but expressed hope for an end to the war.
He also emphasized that Hungary, like other European countries, will maintain pragmatic relations with Russia due to geographical factors.
In addition, Madyar stated that he does not plan to initiate a conversation with U.S. President Donald Trump himself, but is ready to talk if Trump calls.
It should be noted that Magyar has spoken out against Ukraine’s rapid accession to the EU.
