Mátyás urged Serbs to take inspiration from the elections in Hungary and promised not to interfere
Péter Magyar, leader of the Tisa Party, stated that Serbs could draw inspiration from the results of the Hungarian elections regarding a change in government. He noted that he had no intention of interfering in Serbia’s internal affairs, but expressed his support for the protesters.
He made these remarks at a press conference with foreign media in Budapest.
According to Magyar, change is possible if society unites.
At the same time, he expressed his readiness to meet with Serbia’s leadership and emphasized the importance of maintaining good relations between the countries.
The politician also commented on the alleged sabotage of the “Turkish Stream” gas pipeline, noting that the new government will investigate whether there was a real threat.
Mátyás added that Serbian-Hungarian relations should not depend on individual politicians.
