MAGA Inc. directs $10 million to ads in Paxton’s Texas campaign — The Hill
In the United States, the Trump-linked super PAC MAGA Inc. has directed $10 million to advertising in the Senate campaign of Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton. As The Hill reports, information about the payment is contained in U.S. Federal Election Commission filings released on Saturday.
Funds for television ads
The $10 million payment was received by political media company Del Ray Media. According to the publication, the funds were used to finance two advertisements against Democrat James Talarico, who is Paxton’s rival in the race for a U.S. Senate seat.
MAGA Inc. spokeswoman Alex Pfeiffer said the ads focus on Talarico’s tax policy. In a statement, she claimed that the Democratic candidate plans to take money from Texas residents and called his policies radical.
Talarico has promised to raise taxes on billionaires while lowering them for working families and small businesses. Paxton, for his part, advocated tax breaks and measures to address the affordability crisis.

Race for a Senate seat
Another political committee, Lone Star Liberty PAC, plans to launch similar ads against Talarico in September. Among other things, they will criticize him for voting against a legislative initiative that would have established criminal liability for foreign entities purchasing land in Texas.
Republican strategist Karl Rove said there is increasingly little time to bolster Paxton’s campaign, as some polls have shown him trailing. In an August Texas Public Opinion Research poll, Talarico led Paxton by six percentage points, although Trump won Texas in the 2024 presidential election by a margin of about 14 points.
The nonpartisan Cook Political Report moved the Texas Senate race into the category where the candidates’ chances are roughly equal. The publication attributed this to the high level of disapproval of Paxton’s performance and his trailing a hypothetical Republican candidate in Republican Party polls. Republicans have held this Senate seat for three decades.
