Macron Responded to the Russian Attack on Ukraine and the Missile Strike in Poland
On July 30, French President Emmanuel Macron condemned yet another Russian attack on Ukraine, which resulted in the deaths and injuries of civilians. Separately, the French leader emphasized that the violation of Poland’s airspace during Russia’s massive strike was unacceptable.
In his statement, the French leader pledged continued support to allies.
“France condemns in the strongest terms the Russian strikes that killed civilians in Ukraine, as well as the violation of Poland’s airspace. Our support for Ukraine and our allies will not waver, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, Donald Tusk. Our collective security depends on this,” Macron wrote.
Over the past 24 hours, 238 combat engagements between the Ukrainian Defense Forces and Russian troops were recorded on the front lines. The Russian army launched two missile strikes and 85 airstrikes, deployed more than 8,000 kamikaze drones, and shelled Ukrainian military positions and populated areas nearly 3,000 times.
As a reminder, on the night of July 30, Russian forces carried out one of the largest combined attacks on Ukraine, using more than 70 missiles and over 280 attack drones. Kyiv and the surrounding region, as well as the Dnipropetrovsk, Lviv, Poltava, Kharkiv, Mykolaiv, Sumy, Vinnytsia, Cherkasy, and Ivano-Frankivsk regions, came under fire.
In Poland, during the massive Russian missile attack on Ukraine on the night of July 30, an air raid alert was issued in part of the Lublin Voivodeship. After the alert ended, a crater approximately 10 meters in diameter and debris from an unidentified object were discovered in a field near the villages of Tarnava-Kolonia and Tokary.
