Macron attended one of the stages of the Tour de France
French President Emmanuel Macron arrived in the Hautes-Pyrénées department to personally watch the sixth stage of the prestigious “Tour de France” cycling race.
The French leader visited the finish line of the stage between the towns of Pau and Gavarnie-Hédras, and also planned to attend the official awards ceremony after the race concluded.
Attending the Tour de France has already become a tradition for Macron. He has regularly attended the race since the beginning of his presidency in 2017. Last year, the head of state attended Stage 12, and in 2023, he congratulated race winner Jonas Vingegaard.

French President Emmanuel Macron has announced new defense initiatives and joint military exercises, which will be unveiled on July 13 during a meeting of the Coalition of the Willing attended by approximately 35 leaders of participating countries. The event will focus on countering Russia’s shadow fleet, strengthening Ukraine’s military capabilities, revitalizing the defense-industrial complex, and deepening operational cooperation among allies.
On July 8, ahead of the NATO summit in Ankara, French President Emmanuel Macron took his traditional morning jog through the streets of the Turkish capital. The French leader was accompanied by security guards and members of his delegation.
