Macron will meet with von der Leyen for a working dinner in Paris
French President Emmanuel Macron will host a working dinner with European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen on Wednesday, July 22, at the Élysée Palace in Paris. The meeting will begin at 8:00 p.m. local time and will be closed to the press.
The Élysée Palace reported that the two leaders will discuss agenda priorities related to the European Union’s sovereignty and competitiveness. According to “European Truth,” von der Leyen’s visit was not announced in the work schedules of either leader.
Earlier, ten European countries, including Ukraine, announced the creation of an Integrated Anti-Ballistic Defense Coalition following a founding meeting in Paris. Subsequently, during von der Leyen’s visit to Kyiv, Ukraine and the EU agreed on a new defense partnership and cooperation in the field of drones, and the European Union allocated an additional 1 billion euros to Ukraine for the purchase of drones.
