London Underground drivers have called two 24-hour strikes
In London, some subway drivers plan to hold two 24-hour strikes on Tuesday and Thursday, which could cause significant disruptions to public transportation. The protest is in response to proposed changes to schedules and working conditions. The strikes are expected to affect the regularity of train service on the London Underground and cause inconvenience for passengers.

The RMT union stated on Monday that the strikes will go ahead because the employer—Transport for London—has “failed to provide assurances regarding our members’ deep concerns” about fatigue, reduced flexibility, and shift lengths.
TfL expressed disappointment that the union decided to proceed with the strike despite assurances regarding the new work schedule.
Last month, the union called off planned strikes to allow for further negotiations with TfL.
TfL reports that drivers will stop work from 11:01 p.m. GMT on June 1 until 10:59 p.m. GMT on June 2.
A similar strike is scheduled for June 3–4.
Significant disruptions to transport services are expected across London.
The strikes will not affect the entire Tube network, but according to the TfL website, service will be suspended on some lines.
Train service will start later and end earlier, with the level of disruption varying across different parts of the network.
