In Mexico, Mexico News Daily has published a weekly quiz about events in the country and its international ties. The questions cover trade with the United States, education, healthcare, crypto mining, local government operations, sports, agriculture and a Guinness record.
Trade and education
The quiz asks readers to determine what share of the US import market Mexican goods accounted for as of July. One of the questions also concerns a meeting between Mexico’s Foreign Minister Roberto Velasco and officials from another country to resolve tariff-related trade disputes.
The selection includes a question about the results of the 2025 Programme for International Student Assessment, or PISA, which, according to the publication’s wording, were unsuccessful for Mexican students. Readers are invited to recall which skills this international study assesses among 15-year-old schoolchildren. Another question is devoted to an incident in which salmonella-contaminated hospital food caused illness in 135 doctors in a Mexican city.

Other questions concern a Mexican coastal resort whose ATP tournament will be removed from the tennis calendar after the 2027 competition concludes. In addition, the quiz mentions a 20-year-old engineering student who received a national award for developing an irrigation filter, and a town in Chiapas state that reclaimed the Guinness record for the world’s largest cheese ball.
