Pakistan’s Information Ministry denies reports of JF-17 damage in Saudi Arabia — Dawn
Pakistan’s Ministry of Information and Broadcasting called false reports alleging that three Pakistani JF-17 fighter jets were damaged during a Houthi attack on King Abdulaziz Air Base in Dhahran, Saudi Arabia.
Ministry’s denial
As Dawn reports, the Pakistani agency said that claims were circulated on social media about Houthi missiles striking the base and the subsequent evacuation of Pakistan Air Force aircraft. A post by the ministry’s fact-checking account described this information as “absolutely fake.”
The ministry noted that no reliable or official source had reported damage to JF-17s. It also accused accounts spreading these reports of disseminating Indian propaganda. The agency published a screenshot of one such post marked as false information.

Pakistani forces at the base
Pakistani forces were deployed to King Abdulaziz Air Base in Dhahran in April under a joint defense cooperation agreement between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia concluded last year. At the time, Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Defense said that the contingent consisted of Pakistan Air Force fighter and support aircraft. Its task was described as strengthening military coordination and operational readiness of the armed forces of the two countries.
At the same time, according to the publication, the Houthis have attacked Saudi Arabia in recent days amid the expansion of the US and Israeli war against Iran. In particular, they struck King Khalid Air Base in Khamis Mushait in the south of the kingdom. Hangars, radar installations, runways, and ammunition depots were reported to have been hit. Saudi authorities issued emergency warnings in Khamis Mushait and three other southern areas. No attacks on the base in Dhahran have been reported so far.
