Morawiecki said he is ready for a televised debate with Tusk
Former Polish Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki has stated that he is ready to participate in a televised debate with the current head of the Polish government, Donald Tusk. This was reported by “European Truth,” citing Polsat News.
Appearing on Polsat News, Morawiecki confirmed his readiness for such a discussion for the second time in two days. According to him, the debate should cover the economy, the budget, the labor market, and housing policy.
“I am ready to debate everything—in particular, the suspension of projects, the lack of measures to address this massive budget shortfall, the fact that there are no jobs for young people, the slowdown in housing construction, and everything else that concerns Poles,” the former prime minister stated.

The idea for a televised debate arose after a question from a viewer of the program “Good Evening, Poland.” A viewer named Adam from Wałbrzych asked Morawiecki if he would agree to a televised debate with Tusk. The politician replied that he does not shy away from public debates and has previously participated in them with representatives of various political forces, but would like to debate Tusk specifically.
The statement came as Polish political forces prepare for the 2027 parliamentary elections. Morawiecki had previously left the Law and Justice party and later announced the formation of a new parliamentary faction, “Development Plus,” in the Sejm.
