The Russian Foreign Ministry has urged Russians not to travel to Thailand due to U.S. hunting

The Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs has advised citizens to refrain from traveling to Thailand, citing an alleged intensification of U.S. special operations aimed at detaining Russians.

The Russian Foreign Ministry claims that, due to the extradition treaty between the U.S. and Thailand, Washington is allegedly “hunting down” Russian citizens suspected of violating U.S. law.

The Russian Foreign Ministry stated that since the start of the war against Ukraine, risks for Russians abroad have increased due to sanctions and criminal prosecutions by the U.S. Russian authorities also advised citizens who may be under the scrutiny of U.S. law enforcement to avoid not only traveling to Thailand but also transiting through its airports.
