Another 260 kg of ketamine found in a Limassol warehouse in Cyprus
Cyprus police found another 260 kilograms of ketamine in a warehouse in Limassol. The substance was discovered during further examination of evidence in a case involving a large-scale drug seizure, Cyprus Mail reports.
Previous seizures
The find added to the 126 kilograms of ketamine that police had previously seized as part of the same investigation. During the operation, law enforcement officers searched two properties in Limassol and detained four suspects — two couples from Israel and Palestine.
At the home of a 53-year-old man, police found 34 grams of cocaine, 246 grams of ketamine, 15 grams of methadone and 12 grams of MDMA. They also seized €4,150 in cash, 42 packs of untaxed cigarettes and mobile phones.

Investigators' version
At the second property, belonging to a 50-year-old man, law enforcement officers found 126 kilograms of ketamine, precision scales and additional mobile phones. According to police, the group may have been part of an organised network that transported drugs to Cyprus from Israel aboard luxury yachts moored at marinas in Limassol and Larnaca.
Police believe the drugs were allegedly hidden in paint cans, stored at the two searched properties and later sold only to Israeli residents in Cyprus, rather than Cypriot citizens. The suspects appeared before Limassol District Court, which authorised their eight-day detention to continue the investigation.
