NATO Summit to Discuss Establishment of Special Tribunal for Russia — Dutch Prime Minister
Dutch Prime Minister Rob Jetten said that the issue of establishing a special tribunal to address Russia’s crime of aggression against Ukraine will be one of the central topics at the upcoming NATO summit. According to him, the allies plan to devote special attention to this issue in order to strengthen Russia’s international accountability for the war it has unleashed.
“Russia’s aggression against Ukraine cannot go unpunished. That is why it is necessary to establish a special tribunal to hold those responsible for this aggression accountable,” the statement reads.
He also noted that the government has decided that the Netherlands is prepared to host the Special Tribunal on Russia’s crime of aggression against Ukraine, “specifically during the operational phase of this special tribunal, under certain conditions.”
“We continue to support Ukraine. This will also be one of the key topics at the NATO summit in Ankara next week,” Jetten added.
