Six candidates from the Yabloko party were detained in the Urals in a single day

In the Sverdlovsk Region, six candidates from the Yabloko party were detained in a single day. This was reported by the party’s Yekaterinburg branch.

Among those detained were Konstantin Kiselev, head of the Yabloko faction in the Yekaterinburg City Duma; Vladimir Sevostyanov, a current deputy of the Sukhoy Log Duma; as well as candidates Alexei Kholodarev, Alexander Kudelkin, Shana Ogney, and Vladimir Sobyanin. Some of them were released after reports of “extremism” were filed.

Police detained Kiselev on September 7 near his home as he was heading to a debate at VDTRK-Ural. He is running for the State Duma in a single-member district. After his detention, the politician was released after a report was filed against him under Article 20.3 of the Code of Administrative Offenses for “displaying extremist symbols.” The reason was a 2021 post in which the capital letter “N” was visible in the background.

This is reported by Russian propaganda media.
