Navrotsky Strengthens His Position in the CBOS Poll

In Poland, a new poll has shown a rise in confidence in President Karol Nawrocki following a difficult June, when the country found itself at the center of political disputes and tensions in its relations with Ukraine. Pollsters have noted not only his rise in the ratings but also a shift in the balance of trust toward other key politicians.

A June poll by the Center for Public Opinion Research (CBOS) in Poland recorded a noticeable increase in the level of trust in President Karol Nawrocki, who has held the top spot among the country’s politicians for several months in a row and has regained support following a previous decline. Sociologists attribute this trend to the political context of the month, which was marked by public debates and high-profile decisions at the highest levels.

According to the poll, 53% of respondents currently trust Nawrocki, which is 5 percentage points more than in May, while the level of distrust has dropped to 34%. Second place in the ranking went to Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of National Defense Vladyslav Kosiniak-Kamysh, with a 45% trust rating, who maintained his previous level of support.

Third place went to Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Radosław Sikorski, who is trusted by 42% of respondents—slightly less than a month earlier— while the mayor of Warsaw and one of the leaders of the “Civic Coalition,” Rafał Trzaskowski, came in fourth with 40%. Rounding out the top five is Krzysztof Bosak of the “Confederation,” with 39% trust, who saw a slight increase in support.

Prime Minister Donald Tusk took sixth place with 38% approval, but the level of disapproval of him rose to 49%, which was one of the most notable changes in the ranking. The survey was conducted between June 11 and 21 on a sample of 991 respondents, allowing it to reflect current public sentiment in the country. CBOS notes that the trust ratings in Poland remain dynamic, and the political events of June significantly influenced the redistribution of support, without changing the overall hierarchy of leaders. These figures are reported by RMF 24.

Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk emphasized that the development of Polish-Ukrainian relations must be based on mutual goodwill. According to him, constructive dialogue is impossible if only one side demonstrates a willingness to cooperate.
