Growing dissatisfaction with US actions in the Middle East
Dissatisfaction is rising in the Middle East over the United States’ approach, with regional officials claiming that Washington has focused its defense systems on protecting Israel while leaving Gulf countries, where US military bases are located, vulnerable to Iranian missile and drone attacks. This was stated by a Saudi official.
Leaders of Saudi Arabia’s state radio «Al-Ikhbariya» expressed doubts about real US actions in the region, calling America an «empire of war» that requires constant conflict to sustain itself. Similar criticism came from Kuwait’s state TV, which declared that the region’s countries feel abandoned by the US, especially in light of recent military casualties during an incident.
These statements indicate a declining trust in the US among key Middle Eastern partners, potentially prompting a reassessment of the regional security framework and the search for new alliances.
