Germans stranded in Dubai as Frankfurt airport enforces night flight ban
German citizens with families are unable to depart on an evacuation flight from Dubai because Frankfurt airport refuses to allow nighttime landings due to an existing night flight ban. Passengers have been forced to stay in hotels and will attempt another departure the following morning.
The flight was organized to evacuate German families and children from a conflict or crisis zone in Dubai. Initially, the plane could not take off due to shelling, and later it was denied landing permission in Frankfurt because of the night flight restriction in place from 11 p.m. to 5 a.m. to protect residents from noise pollution. The situation sparked outrage on social media over the perceived lack of adequate support for German nationals.
This incident has caused public frustration and tension over the insufficient and delayed assistance for citizens trapped abroad in difficult circumstances. The next flight is scheduled for 10 a.m. the following day, raising hopes for a successful departure.
