The new French ambassador to Ukraine recorded a message in Ukrainian
The newly appointed French Ambassador to Ukraine, Brice Rocfey, is heading to Kyiv to begin his diplomatic mission. Ahead of his arrival on July 25, he recorded a video message in Ukrainian, expressing his readiness to work closely with Ukraine.
The French Embassy’s website published Brice Rocfay’s message from Paris, titled “On the Way to Ukraine.”
“Before heading to Kyiv, I would like to introduce myself to you from here, from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs building on the Quai d’Orsay, where President Zelenskyy was a few days ago to participate in the ‘Coalition of the Resolute’ meeting,” Rocfay noted.
He explained that over the past three years, he had visited Ukraine numerous times as director of the Department of Continental Europe at the Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs during official visits, and in that capacity, he was actively involved in efforts to support Ukraine across a wide range of areas.
“I will continue to work in all these areas as the new French ambassador to Ukraine, together with the entire embassy team,” he added.
Earlier, France supported a ban on entry into the EU for Russian occupiers.
Sebastian Tynkkänen, a Member of the European Parliament from Finland, reported that British authorities had denied him an entry permit. Tynkkänen had been tried in Finland for inciting hatred against minority groups.
As a reminder, the Russian government decided to suspend traffic through a number of railway border crossings with Finland, Estonia, and Latvia starting July 1.
