The Magyar Party will refuse to support Szijjártó for the position of deputy speaker
Hungary’s incoming Prime Minister Péter Magyar stated that his party, Tisza, which holds a constitutional majority in parliament, will not vote in favor of appointing Péter Szijjártó as Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly.
Mátyás wrote about this on Tuesday on his Facebook page.
Mátyás stated that Viktor Orbán’s Fidesz party, which will be in the opposition in the new parliament, should propose a new candidate for the position of deputy speaker.
“I warn that the Tisa party will not vote for Péter Szijjártó, who has betrayed Hungarian interests, for the position of Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly,” Magyar wrote.
Mátyás announced that Orbán’s oligarchs are preparing to flee abroad.
Hungary’s soon-to-be former Prime Minister Viktor Orbán announced his resignation from his parliamentary seat. However, he expressed his willingness to continue leading the Fidesz party if the party congress supports his candidacy.
Recall that the Hungarian government has accused the social media platform Facebook of political bias against Prime Minister Viktor Orbán.
