The "Tisa" Party is closing in on the 141st seat in parliament

UA.NEWS 18 April 2026 15:24
The "Tisa" Party is closing in on the 141st seat in parliament

The final vote count is underway in Hungary, and preliminary estimates suggest that the Tisza Party may win even more seats in parliament than previously predicted. Analysts note that even with minimal changes in the results, the political landscape could remain favorable for the election winners. Final figures are expected in the near future, according to Telex.

The Tisa Party could ultimately win up to 141 seats in the Hungarian parliament. This forecast is based on the current vote count and an assessment of results in the districts where the race is closest.

Votes cast by voters abroad or outside their registered districts have now been processed, and the results from 16 districts have partially changed. In the three most competitive districts, the lead has, as expected, shifted to Tisa candidates, further strengthening their positions.

According to current data, Tisa representatives are set to win 96 seats in parliament, while Fidesz will secure only 10, creating a significant gap between the political forces even at this stage.

Analysts note that even if the remaining uncounted votes do not change the outcome in specific districts, “Tisa” could still gain an additional seat and thus approach the 141-seat mark. The final vote count is expected by the end of Saturday, after which the distribution of power will be finalized.
