Patriots for Europe approve IHRA principles to combat antisemitism — Jerusalem Post
In Strasbourg, France, dozens of Members of the European Parliament from the Patriots for Europe group signed a charter on adopting the principles of the International Holocaust Remembrance Alliance (IHRA) to combat antisemitism and commemorate the Holocaust. This was reported by The Jerusalem Post.
The conference took place on Wednesday with the participation of MEPs and representatives of right-wing and conservative parties from various European countries. Among the participants was Likud Knesset member Ariel Kallner. Recorded addresses were delivered by Samaria Regional Council head Yossi Dagan and Likud party court president, attorney Michael Kleiner.
Charter provisions
The document states that certain statements directed against the State of Israel may, depending on the context, constitute manifestations of antisemitism. The charter also emphasizes the need to combat Holocaust denial and the distortion of Holocaust memory.

Patriots for Europe is the third-largest group in the European Parliament. It brings together representatives of right-wing and nationalist parties from several countries, including the Czech ANO, Hungary's Fidesz, the Freedom Party of Austria, the Dutch Party for Freedom, and France's National Rally.
Statements on sanctions
Conference participants expressed support for Israel and Israeli settlements in the West Bank, and also opposed sanctions and boycotts against entities linked to the settlements.
Kleiner stated that Palestinians working in Israeli companies and enterprises could suffer from such restrictions. As an example, he cited the SodaStream factory, which was relocated to the Arava: according to him, 500 Arab workers lost their jobs as a result. Kallner called the sanctions discussed at the conference a manifestation of double standards and “modern antisemitism.”
