Peskov noted that no meetings between Putin and Madyar are currently scheduled
Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov stated that no telephone conversation between Vladimir Putin and Hungary’s future prime minister, Péter Magyar, is currently planned.
Russia has also confirmed that no contacts between the parties are currently being arranged.
This was stated by spokesperson Dmitry Peskov, citing Russian media.
"There are currently no meetings with Magyar on Putin’s schedule, but the Kremlin hopes that they will take place in the future," he said.
Earlier, Magyar stated that he himself would not call Putin. But if Putin calls, he will urge him to end the war against Ukraine.
Madjar stated that he would not call Putin himself, but would answer his call.
As a reminder, Madyar has spoken out against Ukraine’s rapid accession to the EU.
