Queen Elizabeth II’s granddaughter, Lady Louise Mountbatten-Windsor, has completed her studies at the University of St. Andrews and received her degree. On this important day, her parents, the Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh, were by her side to support her at the graduation ceremony.

Lady Louise Mountbatten-Windsor, the 22-year-old granddaughter of the late Queen Elizabeth II, has officially graduated from one of the United Kingdom’s most renowned universities — St. Andrews, where she received her degree and appeared in public for the first time as a graduate, wearing the traditional academic gown. She spent the festive day with her family — her father, Prince Edward, who holds the title of Duke of Edinburgh, and her mother, Duchess Sophie, who came to support their daughter and share with her this moment marking the completion of an important stage in her life.

The royal family’s official social media page congratulated the graduate, highlighting the family occasion and her achievement, and also posted photos from the ceremony showing Louise posing alongside her parents in the festive atmosphere. “Congratulations to Lady Louise on graduating from the University of St. Andrews! Lady Louise celebrated receiving her degree alongside her parents, the Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh, who supported her on this special day,” reads the royal family’s post.

It is known that during her studies, she balanced her university work with a part-time job in the cafeteria and participated in student theater; after graduating, she plans to take a break to travel before deciding on her next educational or professional steps.

The University of St. Andrews holds symbolic significance for the British royal family, as it is where Prince William and Kate Middleton previously studied, making Louise’s graduation yet another milestone in the history of this institution. This was mentioned in a post by the royal family on Instagram.
