Iran's attack has shut down the largest aluminum plant in the UAE — Bloomberg

Emirates Global Aluminium, the largest aluminum producer in the Middle East, has shut down its plant in Al-Tawil following an attack by Iran.

Bloomberg reports this.

The plant lost power, forcing an emergency shutdown of production.

As a result, the metal solidified in the smelting furnaces, causing serious damage.

In the wake of the incident, aluminum prices began to rise—futures rose by nearly 2%.

Shares of other aluminum producers also surged sharply.

The situation is complicated by the blockade of the Strait of Hormuz, which poses risks to global supplies and could cause new disruptions in the market.

U.S. President Donald Trump is seriously considering the possibility of the United States withdrawing from NATO. According to him, this is because the Alliance did not join the U.S. operation against Iran.

Recall that U.S. President Donald Trump stated that the active phase of the military campaign against Iran, known as Operation “Epic Fury,” is coming to an end.

Recall that Trump stated that Iran had offered him the position of supreme leader.

Prior to this, U.S. President Donald Trump sharply criticized NATO member countries, accusing them of failing to support Washington in its confrontation with Tehran.
