Following the crash of the drone, Moldova recalled its ambassador from Moscow for consultations
On August 10, Moldova recalled its ambassador to Russia for consultations after a drone crashed on Moldovan territory. The drone crashed in the village of Krokmaz in the Ștefan Vodă District, following which Chișinău decided to hold additional consultations with its diplomatic representative.
The Moldovan Ministry of Foreign Affairs strongly condemned the drone incident.
“This incident constitutes a serious violation of the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the Republic of Moldova and has jeopardized the safety of our citizens,” the Foreign Ministry said in a statement.
It is noted that Moldova condemns Russia’s war against Ukraine and its consequences for the security of the country and the entire region.

Earlier, Sandu accused Russia of being responsible for the drone crash in Moldova.
A combat drone exploded in southern Moldova near the village of Crocmaz. Police stated that this type of drone had not previously been recorded on the country’s territory. Debris damaged the roofs and outbuildings of several houses, but no one was injured.
