Poland has received a new shipment of American Abrams tanks
Another shipment of American Abrams tanks has arrived in Poland. The 35 combat vehicles are set to join the 18th Mechanized Division of the Polish Armed Forces in the near future.
“Another batch of M1A2SEPv3 Abrams tanks has arrived in Poland. In the near future, 35 tanks will be deployed to the 18th Mechanized Division,” Kosiniak-Kamysz wrote.
The Deputy Prime Minister noted that Poland is consistently strengthening its defense capabilities and modernizing its Armed Forces.
As is known, the purchase of the M1A2SEPv3 Abrams tanks is part of Poland’s agreement with the United States for 250 tanks. The contract, worth approximately $4.75 billion, was signed in 2022. The first tanks of this version arrived in Poland in January 2025. The delivered Abrams tanks are planned to be assigned to the 18th Mechanized Division, which plays a key role in the defense system of eastern Poland.
