Flooding destroyed a bridge in Italy and brought traffic to a standstill

In central Italy, a bridge on the Adriatica highway collapsed due to heavy rains.

This was reported by local media.

The bridge over the Trigno River was destroyed by a powerful torrent of water following a sharp rise in river levels.

The highway had been closed the day before due to the risk of collapse, but the storm still destroyed the bridge.

As a result, the Abruzzo region is now without direct transportation links.

The bad weather caused other problems as well: the Carpino River flooded a road, and critical water levels were recorded in the Ofanto River.

An alert was issued in the province of Foggia due to the risk of the dam overflowing.

Emergency services are operating on high alert.

Severe storms in Greece have caused widespread flooding, fallen trees, and casualties.

Leaders of the Russian-occupied regions of Dagestan and Chechnya, who are controlled by the Kremlin, have declared a state of emergency due to record-breaking floods and mudslides coming down from the mountains.
