Azad Jammu and Kashmir PM orders preparations for 100-day reform program
Azad Jammu and Kashmir Prime Minister Iftikhar Gillani has instructed the bureaucracy to prepare for the implementation of the government's 100-day reform program. During his first meeting with government secretaries at the Prime Minister's Secretariat, he said the authorities' priorities were systemic reforms, easing people's daily hardships and creating new opportunities, Dawn reports.
According to Gillani, his government came to serve the people, and the results of its work must be visible in practice. He added that the authorities expect to overcome the challenges facing the territory in cooperation with the state apparatus.
Role of the state apparatus
The prime minister stressed that the administrative mechanism must turn government policy into tangible results. He noted that the government's success largely depends on the efficiency, dedication and sense of responsibility of its administrative apparatus.
Gillani expects the bureaucracy of Azad Jammu and Kashmir to work diligently and promptly to implement the reform program. He also promised officials the necessary support so they can introduce changes and improve the delivery of public services.

Employment and services
The prime minister named unemployment as one of the main challenges. The government plans to introduce a youth engagement program and skills development programs focused on demand in the social sector.
Gillani also promised priority measures to reduce residents' difficulties in transport and healthcare. According to him, the government seeks to turn the reform program into practical steps whose results will be noticeable to people. He added that the 100-day plan demonstrates the central party leadership's serious attitude toward Azad Jammu and Kashmir.
Separately, the prime minister heard Chief Secretary Khushal Khan on the organizational structure of the Services and General Administration Department. Inspector General of Police, retired Captain Liaqat Ali Malik, informed him about the police structure, its work and future needs, as well as the overall law and order situation in the territory.
