South Korean President Lee Jae Myung arrives in France for summit with Macron

South Korean President Lee Jae Myung has arrived in Nice, France, for a four-day visit, during which he will hold a bilateral summit with French President Emmanuel Macron in Paris. This was reported by The Korea Herald.

Summit on the future of cinema

On Monday, Lee Jae Myung is expected to take part in the Lumière Summit, dedicated to the future of cinema. The event will be held in Saint-Paul-de-Vence near Nice, and the presidents of South Korea and France will co-chair the summit.

State visit to Paris

On Tuesday, the South Korean president will travel to Paris, where he will begin a two-day state visit. Shortly after his arrival, he will have a one-on-one lunch with Macron. This will be followed by talks between the leaders and a state banquet dinner at the Élysée Palace, hosted by Emmanuel Macron and his wife Brigitte Macron.

On Wednesday, Lee Jae Myung plans to meet with the speaker of the lower house of the French parliament, Yaël Braun-Pivet, and Secretary-General of the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development Mathias Cormann, after which he will return home. The visit is taking place at Macron's invitation following his trip to South Korea in April. The countries are marking the 140th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations.
