Polish President Navrotsky will appear for questioning at the prosecutor's office
Polish President Karol Nawrocki stated his willingness to appear before the General Prosecutor’s Office as a witness in the investigation into the case concerning the deprivation of Constitutional Court judges’ right to issue rulings.
Despite this, the Polish leader called the Ministry of Justice’s actions inappropriate and pointed to his heavy workload in state affairs; however, he emphasized that he would fulfill his procedural obligations as an ordinary citizen and confirm to investigators that he personally made all decisions.

The investigation was triggered by events in March 2026, when the Sejm elected six judges to the Constitutional Court, only two of whom took the oath of office at the Presidential Palace, while the rest did so in parliament. Previously, the President’s Office had expressed reservations regarding the legitimacy of this procedure based on legal analyses.
