Prince William is celebrating his 44th birthday
Prince William of Wales is celebrating his 44th birthday today, and to mark the occasion, the royal family has released a new photo of the heir to the throne.
In the photo, which appeared on the Wales family’s social media accounts, the future king of Great Britain is pictured with his daughter, Princess Charlotte.
In the photo, the prince is hugging 11-year-old Charlotte after the Trooping the Colour parade, which took place last week. The photo was taken by photographer Matt Porteous.
Since Prince William’s birthday coincided with Father’s Day this year, the photo was accompanied by a heartfelt caption:
“Happy birthday and Happy Father’s Day to the best dad in the world! We love you so much,” reads the post, which also includes the initials of family members: Catherine, Princes George and Louis, and Princess Charlotte.
In addition, to mark Father’s Day, the royal family’s official page shared an archival photo of King Charles III with his father, Prince Philip.
“We send our best wishes to all fathers and our thoughts to those who would like to be with their dads today,” the post reads.
