In Albania, more than 100,000 people took to the streets to protest Trump's son-in-law's resort
A large-scale protest took place in Albania against the construction of a luxury resort on an ecologically sensitive stretch of the Adriatic coast. According to local media reports, more than 100,000 people took part in the rally.
The protests were joined not only by residents of the country but also by members of the Albanian diaspora from Greece and other European countries, as well as Albanians from Kosovo.
Protesters stated that if Prime Minister Edi Rama does not resign, they will attempt to occupy government buildings and the parliament in the capital, Tirana.
The resort construction project has been linked to U.S. President Donald Trump’s daughter, Ivanka Trump, and her husband, Jared Kushner.

In Albania, anti-corruption prosecutors have launched an investigation into a large-scale project to build a luxury tourist resort. The project is linked to the investment firm Affinity Partners, headed by Jared Kushner — the son-in-law of U.S. President Donald Trump. Law enforcement officials are examining possible violations during the project’s planning and implementation.
Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama stated that the country is prepared to agree even to a temporary restriction on the right of national veto if this helps accelerate its accession to the European Union.
