Cyprus industrial production rose by 1.1% in July — Cyprus Mail
Industrial production in Cyprus increased by 1.1% in July 2026 compared with June, while the figure fell by 0.3% across the European Union and by 0.1% in the euro area. Cyprus Mail cites Eurostat data.
July's growth in Cyprus followed declines in industrial production of 1.4% in June and 0.4% in May. The indicator fell by 2.4% in February, rose by 1.6% in March, and remained unchanged in April.
Trends in the EU and euro area
In the EU, the decline in industrial production in July was the second consecutive monthly fall: it decreased by 0.1% in June. In the euro area, the indicator also fell by 0.1% after an identical decline a month earlier.
In the euro area in July, the output of intermediate goods increased by 0.3%, energy by 0.9%, capital goods by 0.5%, and durable consumer goods by 0.9%. At the same time, production of non-durable consumer goods declined by 1.6%.

In the EU, production of intermediate goods fell by 0.2%, while energy output increased by 0.6%. Production of capital goods and durable consumer goods rose by 0.3%, while non-durable consumer goods production decreased by 1.3%.
Largest changes among EU states
Industrial production in July increased most notably in Luxembourg, by 4.5%; Croatia, by 3.9%; and Ireland, by 2.6%. The largest monthly declines were recorded in Denmark, where the figure fell by 4.2%, Bulgaria, by 2.9%, and Lithuania, by 2.4%.
Compared with July 2025, industrial production remained unchanged in the euro area and increased by 0.3% in the EU. The largest annual increases were recorded in the Netherlands, at 8.2%; Croatia, at 7.2%; and Lithuania, at 6.5%. The largest annual declines were recorded in Bulgaria, at 6.8%; Romania, at 6.3%; and Belgium, at 5.6%.
