Putin confirms talks on Orbán’s potential visit to Russia
Russian President Vladimir Putin stated that Russia and Hungary are discussing a possible visit by Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán.
Putin made the remarks while speaking to propagandists after the CSTO summit in Kyrgyzstan, noting that Moscow is in contact with the Hungarian side regarding a potential meeting and is always pleased to welcome partners to Russia, including Orbán.
He added that he intends to discuss bilateral issues, particularly in the energy sector, with the Hungarian prime minister. “If Prime Minister Orbán deems it appropriate to accept our invitation, we are always happy to see him,” Putin said.
